The architectural project in Kilkenny revitalizes ancient sacred architecture by merging historical elements with modern design. This "collage" approach goes beyond restoration, reimagining spaces that honor the past while embracing the future. It integrates lightweight steel and polycarbonate with ancient stone, striking a balance between timeless robustness and contemporary sleekness. Additionally, rammed earth is used for artist dwellings, blending traditional techniques with eco-friendly solutions. Fabric elements introduce tactility, connecting old and new. This design transforms the site into a dynamic space that respects its historical roots while fostering modern relevance and creativity.
