3D Printing
This study explores the integration of 3D printing technology in the development of structural nodes for building designs, emphasizing bending active structures. It combines graphical statics with parametric design tools like Karamba, Graphic Static, and Kangaroo within Rhino Grasshopper. The goal is to create nodes that fulfill diverse mechanical performance requirements. By adopting 3D printing, this project aims to improve structural efficiency and cost-effectiveness, broadening the possibilities in architectural design and production. Expected results include a set of innovative node design guidelines and a series of prototype experiments to evaluate their practicality and feasibility.
